What is XP Security Plus 2013?
XP Security Plus 2013 is an online threat that poses as an antivirus client. It’s safe to say this is a fake antivirus client that should be deleted as soon as possible. This program can be installed from banners of other infected internet advertisements. After this program is installed on a system, then it will act as if it is scanning your computer. After the scan is complete it will come back with fake diagnosis like you have many infections on your computer. These notifications are all fake although they may seem to be real at the time. Having this infection can be very scary. All of this is just a part of a bigger scam meant to scare users into spending their money. Do not be fooled into this trick. Just erase the threat to restore your computer’s normal function.
This infection is not a new one. It is part of a family of infections. Each infection is named after the operating system it infects. For example XP users will have the XP version of the Security Plus 2013 infection. Expect for this threat to be difficult to erase because all other programs, including those that will help, will be blocked from running. This infection also can shield itself with a rootkit. If you want to to stop this virus you will need to use Spyware Doctor with Antivirus. If you have trouble launching it, rename the file to .com. The do it again.
If you still can’t get it to work then you may need to download TDSS Killer here http://support.kaspersky.com/downloads/utils/tdsskiller.exe. If you asked to reboot then do so in safe mode. Then you can run MSConfig and disable startup. When you are ready to reboot run Spyware Doctor with Antivirus. Erase all the items it reveals to you.

3. Slower computer speeds due to tracking. Your web history will be tracked by the program and will be sent to third party servers so they can tell the virus makers which pop ups to send you.
