June 7th 2011 has brought us two rouges. The first is Security Central and it’s a direct clone of several other malware programs. Those programs are Security Center, Antivirus Pro, Antivirus Center, Internet Protection, Antimalware Tool, System Defender, Internet Defender, Security Defender, Antimalware Defender.
The purpose of this malware is to simply trick the user into making a purchase of the false security client. At the time of this writing this malware client does not delete system files nor does it pass on sensative information to a third party. It is important to note that if a user were to make a purchase of this false security client they would be giving away their credit card information and that information would most likely be used for other ill gotten purposes.
